With over 25 years in the freight industry, I’ve held a range of roles both in New Zealand and internationally, and for the past 11 years, I’ve owned and operated Rocket Freight—a customs brokerage and freight forwarding company based in West Auckland.

My career began at Merz and Associates, progressing through roles at Mondiale and Rohlig, which led to an opportunity in the USA, developing Pacific trade in San Francisco and later working in transport and compliance at Weiss Rohlig in New York. Upon returning to NZ, I held senior export roles at Schenker and Davies International before launching Rocket Freight, which now includes a road transport department and our own ATF facility.

I've actively worked with NZ Customs on the TSW Direct programme, advocating for industry-specific improvements, and presented a petition to Parliament in 2019 addressing MPI processing delays, which allowed me to highlight real-world impacts to decision-makers.

As a licensed customs broker and managing director, I maintain a broad, hands-on perspective of industry challenges. I'm passionate about professional development—collaborating with local schools, supporting vocational pathways, and providing real work experience. I also see opportunities to bridge the gap between academic training and industry realities.
