Vanessa brings extensive experience from General Counsel, Strategy and Operational executive roles in infrastructure and services organisations with experience in listed, private and state-owned enterprise companies, Crown entities, and regulators in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. She is experienced in telecommunications, infrastructure, energy, health and insurance and financial wealth management sectors. She’s played significant roles in designing and delivering major enterprise change and commercial results within complex internal, external, regulatory and competitive environments. Vanessa joined KiwiRail in late 2023 as general counsel and leading the property business. Her role now also encompasses enterprise strategy, sustainability, change, regulatory, stakeholder and communications.
