Join us as CBAFF 2026 officially opens with a Mihi Whakatau at 5.15pm, followed by welcomes from Sherelle Kennelly, CBAFF CEO, and Philip Mauger, Mayor of Christchurch. The Welcome Function will follow in the Exhibition Hall (Waitaki Room). Catch up with familiar faces, make new connections and enjoy the first evening of CBAFF 2026.

CONFERENCE GALA DINNER

Venue: Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre, Rakaia Room (Plenary Hall)

Time: Pre-Dinner Drinks 6:30pm to 7pm, followed by the Gala Dinner 7pm to 10pm

Catering: 3 course meal, beverages, guest speaker.

Price: The dinner is included with your conference pass. Guest tickets for non-conference attendees are also available and can be added during registration.

Dress code: In celebration of CBAFF's 30th year anniversary, we ask you to wear formal wear (suits, jackets, cocktail dress) with something in your outfit or accessories in the colour BLUE OR GOLD to match the CBAFF logo.
